Armstrong Roofing is a third-generation, family-owned and operated roofing company in San Mateo, Florida, founded by Lester Bud Armstrong in 1949. Holding Florida Certified Roofing Contractor license CCC025500, the company provides residential, commercial, and industrial roofing services across Putnam, St. Johns, Clay, and Flagler Counties. Armstrong Roofing installs most types of sloped and flat roofs, including metal, metal tile, shingles, and modified bitumen, and also offers gutter repair and replacement. Both the company's President and CEO hold the Certified Professional Roofing Contractor (CPRC) designation from the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association, making them the only FRSA-certified CPRCs in Putnam County. Armstrong Roofing is also the only local Johns Manville Certified Contractor in the area.

A section of the roof was not hot tarred down well and lifted off allowing water to run inside and leak into the house. My husband and I called multiple times to schedule a repair over the course of several months and spoke to the office staff and the owner. They sent a crew out and all they did was run aline of caulk which did not solve the issue and it continued to leak. Eventually my 72 yr old husband had to climb on the roof to reattach and waterproof the lifted section.
Armstrong Roofing did a great job for my customers (I am a REALTOR) and then did the roof for my rental house. They were punctual, tidy and it only took them 2 days from start to finish. When anyone I know needs a roof or roof repair, they will be the first I recommend. The photo below is a picture of my house with its new roof.
I've had bad experiences before with other roofing companies, but they restored my faith in local contractors.
