Bilco Roofing

I hired this company to replace a roof in 2006 or so. It was the housing boom. We’d just bought a rental unit, and it needed a roof in order for the bank to finance it. We needed a company that could work fast. I think the realtor knew of Bilco, and shortly thereafter, we had a roof and they even waited until closing to get paid, if I recall correctly. Fast forward 11 years, and I am in need of a roof again on another house, so I call Bilco. Once again, they’re responsive where other companies were not. Bilco got out the same day and gave me an estimate. Other roofers didn’t make it out for days or wanted you to hold their hand while they walked around the property. Their estimate also seemed pretty reasonable. So, I started out pretty pleased once again. Then things deteriorated pretty quickly. I have been out of state and tried to coordinate with Bilco to get the job locked in. They were unresponsive by email and phone, and it often seemed to take about 3 emails to get one response. My calls would also go unreturned. I let some weeks go by and tried again, and was told there was a death in the family and that someone would get back to me. No one ever did. I let a couple more weeks go by and called and emailed repeatedly about when I would be in town and when I would be able to meet. Finally an email came that it would be no problem to meet at the property, but there was no solid plan. My 10 days in Florida came and went, and despite calls to the cell and office numbers for Bilco, and repeated emails, no one ever offered to meet me and lock in the job. Better this happened before I gave them my money, I suppose. But now I’m back to trying to get new bids and wishing that Bilco could have simply given me a consistent experience so that I didn’t have to go back to shopping this job around. Hopefully, your experience with the company will be better, should you choose them.

This place has terrible customer service. I accepted a bid for a job two months ago and was told that someone would come by and pick up the paperwork, no one has come by. Tried to contact the owner who makes excuses. I asked him to bid another job for me and he has yet to get me the estimate for that after 2 weeks of trying to have him send it to me. Definitely do not recommend.

My new roof has leaked since day 1. All calls unanswered

I guess they're close. They don't answer the phone or emails.
