After the storm Joe and his crew answered our call for help without hesitation, and we are so incredibly grateful. From day one, Joe was fair, honest, and professional. During a time that so many people were being taken advantage of by predatory or unlicensed contractors, we truly feel blessed to have had Joe leading our project. As just one example: we paid over 80% less for demo compared to neighbors with the same scope of work who contracted with a servepro type company — and our crew was far more professional and efficient. It meant everything to know we were being treated fairly during such a difficult time. While no project is ever completely issue-free, the few concerns we did flag were handled immediately. Joe was always communicative and available to discuss and being able to communicate directly with his crews also helped keep the process moving smoothly. We hired DUC (Joe) to do a garage conversion to a master bedroom with an en suite with an addition of a laundry room and a one car garage. It came out amazing! I couldn’t be happier with the work and the professionalism of all his crew. Joe made sure that everything ran smoothly. he came by the site just about every day or he called. He always let us know what was next and when it was going to start, and the crew always showed up. That in itself is amazing along with the quality of work. He also had some great ideas along the way. Any issues that came up were addressed immediately. Joe and his crew deserve a lot more than five stars! I use Joe Romano for ALL my construction jobs at Down Under Construction because he is simply the best in the business. Beautiful work, honest, always accessible to clients needs & fair prices. Had toilet leaks from Condo unit above more than once & it smelled of urine in my guest bathroom ceiling so the drywall had to come out, the cavity cleaned & disinfected then new drywall installed. It was textured & painted. No more smell!!! Could not be happier. Like new! And Joe got there quickly to repair & finish job. He previously renovated my entire condo including kitchens & baths. We used DUCS for our primary bathroom remodel in a 100+ year old home. In just over 3 months from initially reaching out to DUCS, Joe and the team were able to complete a beautiful remodel. We were very impressed with the subcontractors that DUCS used - including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and flooring - everyone was incredibly professional and clearly passionate about their work. Joe has a very relaxed demeanor and is open to ideas and working with homeowners to find the best and right solution (without cutting any corners).
