My HOA hired Richard to fix an issue on my roof. He first cancelled the first appointment in the evening the day before. He was then able to reschedule to Saturday which I had appreciated the flexibility. 3 guys showed up to fix the roof, Richard wasn't with them, these guys didn't know what the problem was. They had limited English. Later I talked to one of the guys, he said that they were hired by Richard a day before for this job without no background. That is why they didn't know anything about the problem. They looked around and did water test for 20 minutes they said they couldn't figure out the issue. We called Richard, I asked him why he wasn't here and these guys couldn't find the problem. He got so offended and angry, he started yelling at me, accused me of being ungrateful. He then told the guys leave. So, they left without finding and fixing the issue. If you need to get your job done, stay away from him and hire someone professional who has his own crew and is also respectful to his customers.

On behalf of the homeowner, I was under a 30 day deadline from my Homeowner insurance company to either replace my roof or get dropped. I reached out to Richard Adam’s and I was under contract the same week which sufficed for my insurer and I was able to maintain coverage. Richard's crew performed beyond expectations. I will re-roof my home with this company again when the time is due.

Richard Adams Roofing has done two jobs for me over the last several years, in addition to multiple inspections and consultations. Both jobs were completed as promised, highly professionally and timely, both with perfectly managed permits. I would - and do - recommend Richard Adams Roofing for any roofing job. At first, we needed to replace the flat roof portion on our house in Fort Lauderdale, so we interviewed a half-dozen roofing companies. Richard's estimate was not the lowest, but what set him apart was his transparency about our project and the potential issues that might arise. Richard's contract was also very straight forward and fair. Indeed, during that first job, we encountered significant rot of the plywood under the roof that required repair. Richard handled that change order process very fairly, and even offered us a discount because the roof was in worse shape than we anticipated. Still, the overall project came in within our original budget range and was completed on time. The second time, we needed to replace a shingle pitched roof on a house we were buying in Wilton Manors. It was a complicated situation: the house could not be insured because of the state of the roof, and the seller was unwilling to do the work. Richard worked with us to structure the roofing contract in a way that allowed us to move forward with the closing, mortgage underwriting, and insurance. Richard's quote, which included roof tie-downs was substantially less than the quotes the seller had gotten. Once we closed on the house, the permits were filed the same day, and Richard completed the work in less than a week after the permits were approved. We will soon need to replace the remaining flat roofs on our house. No doubt, my only call will be to Richard Adams Roofing.

Richard was hired by my landlord to handle the roofing on my commercial space. He went above and beyond to work directly with me on the issues that specifically impacted my unit and I’m so incredibly grateful for that! He was not only responsive and professional, but also warm, kind, and easy to communicate with. Anytime something came up (as they always do during a project!), Richard took the time to make sure I understood exactly what was going on and worked with me to find the best possible solution. It truly made the entire experience so much less stressful! It’s rare to come across someone who not only takes pride in their work but also genuinely cares about the people involved — but Richard is one of those rare few. I’d absolutely love to work with him again on future personal projects!

From meeting Richard to discuss scope of work, to City signing off on completed work permit, my entire process of replacing my work took less than 30 days. Seriously , Richard and his crew are wonderful. Instead of giving me a quote over the phone without even visiting my house as others did, Richard spent two hours at my house inspecting, measuring, explaining, and answering all my dumb questions. Next, his office crew took over and had my permit application completed and filed in my city within a week, and since his paperwork was so thorough and accurate it was approved in days. Days later his crew appeared to begin the work. I have nothing but praise of their work ethic, their friendliness and how meticulous they were during cleanup of debris. Both the city inspector and my wind insurance inspector praised both their work and how quickly they were able to complete this project.
