Installed my roof Aug 2023. In Jan 2025 I called them because my white roof was black and very dirty/moldy looking. I was told they had a change in the manner of the roofing materials during the previous couple of yrs and the white roofs they were installing were turning black due to manufacturing issue with the materials. They offered to send out someone to clean the roof and told me that it might need to be done multiple times and call them if it happened again and they would clean it again. By Dec 2025 the roof was blackened again, so I called and this time was told nope, not their responsibility. It was just a cleaning issue that I as the homeowner would need to clean it from time to time. They denied that it had anything to do with the manufacturing of the materials and told me they would provide me paperwork recommending how I clean it and even the name of someone I could hire to clean it.
You too can have a beautiful white membrane roof TURN BROWN in just 1 year. Comfort cover systems has been aware of the faulty material they put on their roofs since 2021. They refuse to take responsibility. Their solution is for you to clean your roof “a soft bristle toothbrush is best” every 6 months indefinitely at your own expense. Your roof may never leak but your HOA may insist you replace your roof because it looks SO bad. Never never never ever use this roofing company. I wish I could give them a negative 5 stars. Do not agree to anything with this company. I have a lifetime warranty on my roof from Comfort Cover Systems. December 2025 noticed a leak on southside of roof. I checked and roof had pulled up. Called and they came out, did nothing except to say it was storm damage, call your insurance. We haven't had a storm since 2024 hurricanes. No leaks for over a year-hmmm. I called insurance and claim denied. No storms Found another roofing company to fix $3500 BTW. They said they nailed in boards with nails not long enough. Supposed to be screwed in not nails. Now pulling up in front. Same thing nails pulling up. They only want to sell you another roof because their shoddy workmanship. Now way.
Had a roof system put on 1st week of December paid them then the next day notice screws that came through our lanai ceiling. Called them they said they would come right out and make it right. Have called them every week and they say will be out next week. Still have not been out to fix it as of February 4 th. The building inspector would not sign off because of this. I guess as long as they get $7000.00 they don’t care. Now we are wondering how good the warranty is if you can’t even get them to come back to fix their mistake. So if you need a roof find a different company.
After 11 years, I finally had my roof redone by another roofing company. Comfort Covers solution to “fixing” any issues is to caulk. We all know what the Florida sun does to caulking. You can not caulk when the membrane is cut short and they won’t replace. Once Comfort Covers roof was removed, there were rotted boards, condensation and some mold. Let’s not talk about the damage inside which they stated they are not responsible for.
