We recently hired TR Layton to remodel our flood-damaged home, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Tim and his crew were professional, courteous, and consistently arrived on time each day. The project was completed efficiently and within the agreed-upon timeline. Tim is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to ensure everything was done correctly and to a high standard. The crew maintained a clean worksite, communicated clearly throughout the process, and delivered quality workmanship while staying on budget. Tim and his team assisted us with modifications to a home we purchased including but not limited to repaint exterior, deck and railings, install exterior light fixtures, remodel storage to be fully compliant with Manatee County Building Authority codes and regulations, reconfigure kitchen pantry cabinet for and install compact washer/dryer, construct pantry under stairs and install concrete driveway. They did all of this in a professional and workmanlike manner and were courteous and respectful. Tim is extremely creative and adds tremendous value and insight into what can be a challenging process. We had a renovation that included a second floor addition complete with a master bedroom suite and bath as well as having a metal roof to replace our old ceramic tiling. From initial drawings through the architect and engineering reviews as well as the appropriate city office filings and approvals, he took the burden off our shoulders. His input and suggestions as well as working with our changes and requests worked to make the final product look like it had always been there and not a slapped on renovation. We are extremely pleased with final product and the great communication we had with Mr. Layton. His attention to detail as well as his knowledge of the work we required was exceptional. His input and aesthetic as well as his desire to make the project as easy and unobtrusive as possible made the addition as painless as we could have expected. TR LAYTON is awesome! If you have a home renovation/restoration project, search no further! We cannot recommend TR Layton any more highly. Short story: My parents’ house was significantly damaged by Hurricane Ian in September 2022. After months of looking, TR Layton came to our rescue. TR Layton is now our only call for home projects, and we will sing their praises to all who will listen for as long as possible. Tim Layton and his entire crew (Chris, Eva, Jessica, Tommy to name those we had the pleasure of working with and meeting), are each wonderful. Every one of them is friendly, professional, efficient, kind, patient, and does GREAT WORK! Long story: Hurricane Ian devastated the roof of the house. As a result, the house sustained significant damage to interior walls, ceilings, floors, and everything in between. We I tried to do what we could to mitigate the damage (roof tarped, remediation, etc.) but everything sat like that for months. We were on the roofing company’s waitlist and started the process of finding someone to help us with the damage to the inside of the house. The first struggle was to find a reputable, insured company to even talk to! We researched and looked and talked to everyone we could find. We left countless messages. Company after company never even called back. Some companies told us they would be in contact to schedule an appointment to see the house and then never called back. Some called back, set up an appointment to see the house and then never showed to the appointment. It was maddening. The entire process, from contacting companies to dealing with insurance, was so difficult, time consuming, and frustrating. ENTER TR LAYTON! The clouds parted and the angels sang – and we mean this almost literally. It was like heaven smiled on us and we found Tim, Chris, and the rest of their crew. Five months after finding TR Layton, the house was fully restored! And it is beautiful. Tim even helped us navigate the turbulent insurance waters and worked directly with us to assure our vision for the restoration was achieved. And in the typical style of Tim and Chris, they even gave my parents a bottle of wine, a bouquet of flowers, and a card signed by everyone on the team to welcome them back into the home! We are so grateful to have worked with Tim, Chris, and the entire crew. Their work is impeccable. We love everything they did! We send our most sincere and heartfelt thanks for all they did! In fact, we like Tim and Chris so much that we won’t let them go! Now that the restoration work is complete, we are working with them on a few other renovations that are long in coming.
