I have worked with Age of Empire Construction, Inc. for over fifteen years, and I can confidently say that they complete projects thoroughly, pass inspections, and close permits effectively. We collaborated on the 50- and 60-year recertifications for a historic building in Miami Beach. I’ve noticed that some negative reviews come from owners who believe they understand the recertification process, but they often overlook the roles of the engineer, the building board, and the property manager or project manager, who oversees the general contractor to ensure that the project aligns with the plans provided by the engineer for permit applications. When taking on a recertification project, the most challenging aspect is addressing the unknowns. These can include determining whether there is sufficient rebar to meet current building codes, whether existing rebar can be treated and reused, or if it needs to be replaced altogether. Numerous issues contribute to the recertification puzzle that most owners may never fully understand. Based on my firsthand experience, I would hire Age of Empire Construction for my seventy-year recertification, roof replacement, or plumbing repairs. They are a trustworthy and respectful company that delivers on their promises.

During my time in condominium living, I’ve never encountered such a professional group of individuals and organization. They conduct their business in a manner that goes unnoticed, except for the unavoidable noise of machinery. This seamless operation makes it convenient for residents and guests to visit. The workers in particular, were polite and didn’t exploit the community. I highly recommend this company for any meticulous or large job.

Age of Empire Construction is terrible. They have been working on a project in my condominium for over two years, and it feels like they hired the wrong crew. They barely make any progress — it’s like they put in one nail per week. It’s unbearable. They don’t actually work, and they even use the building residents’ electricity. The parking area has been completely taken over by containers and construction materials, and workers park their own vehicles there as well. As a result, that entire area has been unusable for over two years. They were supposed to complete the parking lot, but they left the ground torn up and never finished it. Now residents have to park wherever they can instead of in the proper parking spaces. It’s a complete mess. They don’t work properly, they don’t bring the necessary materials, they are often absent, and there is no real progress. This is a renovation project that, in a similar condominium nearby, was completed in just six months. Meanwhile, this one just drags on and on. At this point, it’s frustrating to even live there. This is the worst contractor company I’ve ever seen. I do not recommend them at all. Never sign a contract with this company.
