After interviewing 5 roofing contractors I chose these people due to what was said AND the supposed GAF ELITE certification.. I was told that I needed a “ larger “ drip edge due to being a manufactured home. Their estimate was certainly not the lowest yet closest to the most expensive, yet ELITE status persuaded me. When they called and said they could fit me in early I told them other repairs were not quite finished, they assured me this was “ no problem”. When they arrived I saw what I assumed to be the supervisor and told him exactly what needed to be finished and his answer was “ yes sir”. A while later I see him in the driveway twirling said few pieces like a baton!! Needless to say they never did install them since one other supervisor had come and had zero clue as to how to install them after repeatedly telling him where they went. I also told the estimator that I wanted 3 roofing contractors caps with dampers since I was tired of looking directly through the vent and swing daylight, I even showed a picture and said I would PURCHASE them myself to be installed, once again I was told no worries it would be handled. They bough 1 not 3 as directed an installed it not in EITHER bathroom but on the stove vent hood! For some reason they also decided to partially tear off “ the blue tarp” people’s work over my lanai and shed leaving both opened to rain and more DAMAGE! They also snapped a sprinkler head due to their negligence. Trash day came and being partially handicapped I had already dragged my trash to the curb, where did the “supervisor “ park, right in front of my trash forcing me to hobble out and try and move them so they would not be left the whole time he sat in his truck enjoying some type of smoke. I went out and and saw a piece of cardboard in my back yard, by this point I was use to attempting to picking up after their carelessness. I should have paid closer attention since it was covered in tar which had now been brushed against my shirt and shorts.I have since gotten a call from Janine stating she was sending yet another “supervisor “ out last Friday. I took the day off to wait and guess what, NO SHOW. Probably would have not mattered since one rarely got out of his truck or was to busy playing twirling his baton and the other was hunched over and could barely walk SUCH AS MYSELF! So now I have a roof without drip edge which is vital to keep out water damage. I’m still picking up pieces of old roofing and nails. This was a simple straight roof, no hips or valleys. So I now am once again exposed to more damage yet I PAID for drip edge and labor and yet they billed for the extra plywood they replaced. Take a VERY close look at the photos, this is what Singlton thinks is an $8000 job.NO drip edge, missing ice and water barrier. Damaged property and exposed lanai and shed due to pure laziness and stupidity!! If anyone else should have issues : Division of Regulations/ Conpliance 2601 Blairstone Rd Tallahassee, FL. 32399

Had a positive experience with Alvin Singleton Roofing installing a new roof on my house. Project was completed in 3 days and yard was cleaned up daily. Experienced good communication with my company contact Tad. Relieved to have this project completed and highly recommend Singleton Roofing for your roofing needs.

So far so good. They come highly recommended and unlike several of the roofers that I received estimates from they told me that certain parts of the roof could wait a few years. Saved me about $20,000. In addition, the contract that they asked you to sign is reasonable, which is that the case with some of the other roofers. I’m a retired attorney and I can note that several of the contracts I looked at require that you waive any potential claims for damages that they do to your property. Not so with Singleton. I’ll be back say more after they’ve done the work. Work was well done in spite of some problems with prior flashing installation. They asked if I wanted it removed and redone at additional cost. They suggested I give it a try. I did, it leaked and they came in and redid with no additional cost. Still dry after two years including a couple of hurricanes. Reliable and honest!
