Armstrong Roofing is a family-owned and operated roofing company based in San Mateo, Florida, serving Putnam, St. Johns, Clay, and surrounding counties since 1949. Founded by Lester "Bud" Armstrong, the company is now in its third generation of family ownership and is led by President Jerry "Les" Sims and CEO Terry L. Turner. Both Sims and Turner hold the distinction of Certified Professional Roofing Contractor (CPRC) status from the Florida Roofing, Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors Association, and Armstrong Roofing is the only company with two FRSA CPRCs in Putnam County. The company installs and replaces most types of slope and flat roofs for residential, commercial, and industrial clients, working with metal, metal tile, shingles, and modified bitumen. Armstrong Roofing is also the only Johns Manville-certified contractor in the local area, and is an active member of FRSA and the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, which named it Small Business of the Year in 2005.

A section of the roof was not hot tarred down well and lifted off allowing water to run inside and leak into the house. My husband and I called multiple times to schedule a repair over the course of several months and spoke to the office staff and the owner. They sent a crew out and all they did was run aline of caulk which did not solve the issue and it continued to leak. Eventually my 72 yr old husband had to climb on the roof to reattach and waterproof the lifted section.
Armstrong Roofing did a great job for my customers (I am a REALTOR) and then did the roof for my rental house. They were punctual, tidy and it only took them 2 days from start to finish. When anyone I know needs a roof or roof repair, they will be the first I recommend. The photo below is a picture of my house with its new roof.
