I had a positive experience working with John. He was patient with the timing of my "master plan," and I really appreciate that. He communicated well and gets his work done with no nonsense. He has an incredible crew. They all worked hard to have my new roof installed and inspected in two days. Well organized and smart. Thank you.
Before I start, do not just use the few google reviews to make a decision on this company. Check the Angi Profile for this company and read those reviews. Jon and his team were great to work with. From the moment we called Jon to the end of the project, he was always very attentive and communicative. He respected our requests and was always upfront with any additional costs associated with our choices. His team did a fantastic job on our roof and took care to clean up very well. Jon is also a great advocate for the owner! When they came to deliver our shingles, the delivery team wanted to drive on our property, ruining our yard, so placing them on the roof would be easier. He refused that method and insisted they use our driveway, which would cause no damage to our property. Thank you, Jon!
I have been using Atlantic Construction for at least 10 years now as a property manager. Jon has done everything from roof replacements to fixing extreme exterior drainage issues to mold remediation to interior carpentry work. I keep throwing curve balls at him and he still knocks them out of the park. In every one of these circumstances the quality and service is top notch. Everything is explained in detail and I am kept up to date 100% of the time, which is extremely valuable for me in my line of work. I can't say enough about his professionalism. He exceeds expectations every single time and he will continue to be my first call when services are needed.
I called ATLANTIC ROOFER and John came promptly and gave me an estimate for my new metal roof. He seemed very honest, cordial and very polite. His estimate came in lower than the other estimates I had received and the turnaround time was faster. He and I texted briefly off and on briefly for awhile. I was informed that he needed a 50% deposit up front, and the turnaround time would be about two weeks, including permit. About a year later, I texted that I was ready to proceed with the project and how to go about doing it. When he came, i was told that prices went up about a couple hundred dollars since he came initially for my metal roof estimate, which I thought was perfectly was fine. But then I just got a weird feeling about the whole meeting when I asked about payments. I wanted to pay with a credit card and was told that “they” charge him 4 percent and I insinuated that it would be added on to my cost. Then he suggested that I paid him with a check, but leave it blank. When I said I didn’t feel comfort and with that, he said that people do it all the time. Then he suggested I write a check to his personal name then, but not to the company’s name. I said I felt uneasy about that as well. I told him that had he told me on the phone about it, I could have told him no and save him a trip. He said he wanted to tell me in person. What? I then asked if he brought a contract that it would show what i paid him. He then said no because he does it all on his computer? Needless to say, I was very uncomfortable. His demeanor changed and I thanked him and ended our meeting. Is this normal business practice for roofers? What a waste of my time.
They put a metal roof on our house, the work was done well and the workers kept the area very clean - only found one nail on the ground. I would recommend this company for any roofing needs.
