Cardinal Roofing did an excellent job on our new roof installation. The team was professional, on time, and kept everything clean throughout the process. Communication was clear from start to finish, and the final result looks great. Would highly recommend them for anyone needing a reliable roofing contractor.

I hired Cardinal Roofing to reroof my home in Valrico, including the main house and sheds, after my insurance company refused to cover me because of the roof’s age. The shingle reroof was done quickly and professionally, and everything went super smoothly. A few months later, my insurance company came back and said I needed to reroof a small flat addition too or they’d cancel my policy. I reached out to Cardinal Roofing for a quote, and Chad got back to me right away. He explained that they had already applied a silicone coating system that meets all the required codes and standards, and suggested I just pass that information along to my insurance company. After a little back and forth, the insurance company ended up dropping the issue completely. Cardinal Roofing did great work, but what really stood out was their honesty, they could’ve easily charged me for more work, but didn’t. I really appreciated that. I’ll definitely be using them again in the future and would absolutely recommend them!

After the hurricane in October 2024, my in-laws needed their roof and carport replaced. Cardinal Roofing responded quickly, provided a quote, and scheduled the installation date. The job went smoothly and we heard repeatedly how nice the workers were and how they cleaned up after themselves. Every time I called Cardinal’s office they were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend calling Cardinal Roofing for a quote and to hire them for your roof repair!

BUYER BEWARE – please read until the end. When I first contacted Cardinal Roofing (Roger), I specifically mentioned a problem I was having with fascia. When the crew arrived, I mentioned it again and pointed out 2 specific problem areas. The first were corners (soffit) that were patched to keep rats out of the attic, and the second, where wood was known to be rotten because of the improper roof installation (including drip cap) 15+ years ago. I suppose I was too trusting and believed their website about being experts in roofing repair. When they finished, I still had the same problems. Yes, they replaced rotten wood, but that was only the symptom. The drip cap is a huge problem and water washes directly onto the cedar fascia when it is supposed to drip away from the wood. I observed this the day after they were done because it rained. The patchwork rat mitigation is back but they failed to address 2 of the corners at all. What they did do for the other corners, looks terrible. Funny thing is they never asked me about solving the problems during the re-roof. In the beginning they were pleasant to work with, but after I paid my bill, and mentioned I had some concerns, the attitude changed. When the 2 people came out, they said basically, this is the design of your house and too bad. They even admitted the soffit looked bad and the drip cap being flush against the fascia was not good. This is a poor response, as they took enough of the fascia off that the actual problem could have been solved had they thought about it and presented me with solutions. Again, they claim to be roofing experts and they should have solutions to problems. I paid a premium for a new roof free of problems, and yet, I still have the same problems. The manager did not even attempt to call me although I left voice mail on his phone. Words cannot convey how profoundly disappointed I am in their service as well as their customer service. DO NOT use this company. And, oh by the way, if you want Wind Mitigation inspection, Cardinal charges a fee for a company to do this service ($125 charge (what I paid) for invoice stating $95). The Florida code changed, and underwriters want to see photo evidence of the nailing pattern, the distance between nails, and the types of nails. Unless you climb up the roof yourself during the period between tear off and before they start the re-roof, you will not get what you need. This was also hugely disappointing as they should know that and had their contract inspector out during the project and not after. This was a waste of my money. I saved up money for years to finally be able to get a new roof and solve the problems. Cardinal Roofing should be ashamed of themselves for poor service and poor service after the sale. I have photos of the job after installation that show improper drip cap and ugly corners.

Cardinal Roofing is so professional, so amazing and so compassionate! We have been working through our Hurricane Milton disaster for almost a year now. Needless to say, our State Farm insurance made us jump through ridiculous hoops and steps just to get our roof put back on our home. Laying new shingles on roof against old shingles, placing more shingles around the roof another time—just stupid things with State Farm—Roger, the owner had such great attitude, guidance and patience with us. He was so detail oriented in all we needed and so fair. His expertise was so appreciated—he put us on the right track and gave us hope. He had his crew make extra emptying dumpster trips so not to be a heavy weight in our drive—so great! He advised and supervised our crew perfectly. You wouldn’t believe how spic in span clean they left our property? Not one nail or anything left behind after the beautiful roof was completed! Very professional crew and the pricing and what it included was great. This company in our opinion is a #1 rated company. Trustworthy—a rare find these days. I communicated with Bridget a lot and she was so attentive along with Lorinda in their office. Spectacular service! Thank you Cardinals for helping us so much!
