About

Central Builders Group is a licensed design-build general contractor and roofing company based in St. Petersburg, Florida, in Pinellas County. Founded in 2022 by David Gayhart, the company earned its Florida general contractor license in 2023 and now holds both a Certified General Contractor license (CBC1266673) and a Certified Roofing Contractor license (CCC1337484). The company installs and replaces shingle, tile, metal, and flat or low-slope roofing systems, alongside its broader design-build services that include custom home construction, home additions, ADUs, second story additions, and foundation or crawlspace repair. Central Builders Group serves St. Petersburg and surrounding Pinellas County communities including Clearwater, Largo, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, Seminole, Pinellas Park, Tarpon Springs, and St. Pete Beach. The company reports a BuildZoom score placing it in the top 1 percent of Florida contractors and has completed hurricane and flood restoration work following recent storms. As a general contractor with a roofing license, Central Builders Group can address structural issues, such as damaged decking, found during a roof replacement without bringing in a separate contractor.
