Called and left a message so they could give me an estimate for a shower install in an existing bathroom in a house I just purchased. When I received a callback a week later they told me that I would have to give a $250 deposit just to get the estimate and if I hired them they would credit the $250 to the job. How do I compare estimates for the same job from different contractors if I’m paying a non refundable deposit for the estimate of a contractor I may not use. Bad policy and an easy way to lose business. I declined and moved on the the next contractor on my list.

This room replaced a screened in porch. It opened my house, enlarging both my living room and kitchen. The workmanship was excellent, both inside and out. We have had a great experience with Coastal Craftsman. Our sun room and deck/patio needed updating and we ended up with an absolute oasis. Everything exceeded out expectations. Daniel (our project manager) was extremely nice and kept us informed all the way through the process. What absolutely amazed us is that the construction area was cleaned every day when the work was done. There was never a scrap of debris leftover from any of the projects involved in this transformation. From the painting of the interior trim (and updating the wood trim to boot - thank you Johnny), the sliding glass door, the new siding and steps and the new patio, thank you all. Great job!
