Double G Construction

I am giving Double G 1 star because they were very attentive before I gave them over 30% up front. Then I didn’t hear from them. I couldn’t get their attention until I threatened with a lawsuit. I gave them the 30% in June of ‘24 and no work done for 15 months when in Sept. of ‘25 I demanded my money back and they refused and I sued them. These guys are not anyone I’d have do my dog’s roof. Don’t go near them. Now take that 1star away because I see who they really are.

Do not use this company, it is the worst thing there is, I paid them and 9 months later it was that they started with the roof, they left it in the middle, I have been waiting for them to finish it for two months and they still do not, they always have an excuse, but the worst thing is that they do not pay the people they hire to remove the roof, the people who started making the roof called me and asked me if I can pay them because the company does not want to pay them. They took the Check for insurance and they do not finish the job. Be careful.!!

A representative from Double G came to our house advising that we had damage on our roof due to recent storms. He expressed they had a team of professionals that would work with our insurance company and lawyers. At the end of the day, we wouldn’t have to pay for our roof. We decided to engage their services. Long story short, after ALOT of follow up on our part, we finished all processes with insurance and lawyers. They quoted us a price of $60k, roof and gutters. We were shocked. Needless to say, we had to pay ALOT out of pocket. That was a lot more than ANYONE in our community paid. They ruined our driveway, as no one was here to monitor the delivery of the roof. They offered to have the driveway power washed and assumed no responsibility for the negligence and damage. In addition, the lanai areas that they did damage, they did not repair and offered a nominal discount. STAY AWAY! This has been the most frustrating and expensive experience we have ever had.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Douglas M. from Double G and I was thoroughly impressed by his professionalism and friendliness. He was extremely pleasant to deal with and demonstrated a genuine, family-oriented approach that made the process much more comfortable. One of the standout aspects of working with Douglas was his diligence in coordinating with my insurance company to get the project approved. This was no small feat, and his efforts ensured that everything moved forward smoothly. While the roofing project is still in progress and I can't yet comment on the company as a whole, I can wholeheartedly recommend Douglas for his dedication and trustworthy nature. He truly went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Thank you Douglas for your hard work and commitment!

Let me say that I am a FL Builder and Double G Construction made getting my roof tile roof replacement much easier than I thought possible! After Irma I was left with roof damage and their sales and legal professionals helped me navigate getting a replacement through my insurance company. Once the paper work was complete the crew arrived to remove the old roof (taking care to safe guard my wife's plants around the home) and did a quick and clean job. There was no delay in getting the roof "dried in" and the tile was being delivered and installed right away. I am impressed with their use of the most modern techniques, insistence to do it right, and their attention to detail. I now have a beautiful concrete tile roof that should last for many years to come. I highly recommend this company!
