Fleming Brothers Roofing

Very disappointed with the level of workmanship on a home I purchased that was reroofed in 2018 by FB. The owner was very dismissive about the leaks I was experiencing over my patio and kitchen, claimed it was due to storm damage. He prescribed a series of repairs that didn’t fix the issue. He nor any of his employees even bothered to really check what the roof looked like or got into the attic to inspect the damage. He claimed to use satellite imagery to diagnose the issue. I had 3 other local roofing companies come out and state the roof has no storm damage at all, but the issues I was experiencing were due to poor workmanship. I’ve had to spend over $14,000 repairing a portion of my roof due to it leaking and causing a serious amount of wood rot on the roof. Additionally, a significant amount of non rotted wood had to be replaced due to the gaps between the decking being greater than code allows and pieces that weren’t even straight or split, which my current roofer said likely comes from FB not measuring the planking when the roof was done in 2018. Now, the roof is leaking in additional places. Again, had another local roofer come out and say there’s 0 storm damage, even after Milton. I’m now looking at having to spend tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket to replace a 6 year old roof because of FB doing a poor job and the fact that homeowners insurance doesn’t cover workmanship defects. In response to the comment from the owner, the job was obviously done wrong from the beginning and won’t take ownership in the issue of the work his crew did because the warranty is expired. The problem was evident well before the warranty expired in 2023. It’s blatantly obvious the decking should have been replaced after the roof was pulled off in 2018. There’s gaps of 1/2 an inch or more in spots, places you can put 2 or 3 fingers in. Will be following up with DBPR regarding the matter.

Had the pleasure of meeting Cam today as I had a couple of leaks that showed up on my ceiling. Cam and company are top notch, very experienced and knowledgeable. I 100% recommend them for all of your roofing needs! Customer for life!

Overall clown show operation I can not recommend enough you use another roofer. I called them out to get a quote for what seemed to be a minor roof leak. They couldn’t tell me that the water was coming from the roof but they were sure happy to take my money. Good reviews on here so I went with it. I email them back to say I want to get it done. I hear nothing from them for 2 months. Then one day someone says we are coming today to fix the roof. No one ever contacted me. Then I get the invoice. I call them to try to pay it but no one ever picks up. If you do get the secretary she has no idea what’s going on. So I send a check in the mail. Next time I hear from them is the owner threatening me and my family, he is going to come to my house, he is going to put a lean on my house. Except I sent him a check in the mail 2 weeks prior that he was too lazy to check. Totally ridiculous. Please there are lots of good roofers around this is not one of them. The good reviews have to be fake or just from his buddies.

I had great experiences with FB on (4) transactions ( two replacements, two repairs). The last replacement began to leak before the warranty expired. Long story short . . . they made (4) trips out to my elderly family members house. When that repair didn't work, they decided they didn't want to deal with me (son) any more and refunded a years old payment instead of just fixing the roof the right way. Their repair man is fantastic, but they send him out each time with instructions to fix it as cheaply as possible and then ignore calls for two more months when it doesn't work. The owner talks loudly enough for me to hear him on the phone with his repair guy. I can hear, "is he there watching you again?" . . meaning me, out there observing b/c my elderly family member is too easy to ignore. Was a fantastic company two decades ago . . and judging by the reviews, they do fine most of the time. This two year long transaction was a mess. For the time they spent (roughly 17 hours total) on four attempted repairs, they could have stripped the section of roof and fixed it properly.

To be honest, we were not looking forward to selecting a company to replace the worn out roof on our home. From start to finish, Evan, Alex, Stephani, Marta and the installation crew, were professional, friendly, and explained everything in clear, easy to understand terms. Their pricing was beyond competitive. There was no high pressure sales pitch, just an honest explanation of their processes, practices and the products they used. They will not try to sell you something that you do not need. All of the shingles and underlayment used are rated for 130 mph winds. The staff acquired all of the necessary permitting. The work crew arrived promptly and started work immediately. They were very respectful of our property and paid attention to every detail of the installation. After the job was complete, the clean up was very thorough and none of our shrubs, plants, lawn or outdoor décor were harmed in any way. We highly recommend Fleming Brothers and we can easily see why this family owned company has been in business for four generations.
