Had some hick-ups but they were due to post Irma delays from our insurance company & our mortgage company. Very satisfied with Island Roofing's job regarding the repairs & replacement of our entire tile roof. Now doing a great job taking care of those loose ends that are always there after any major re-roofing. Will definitely use them again for our roofing needs and tell all our friends & neighbors about their great service.
I won’t even go into prior installation problems. But 4 days before hurricane Ian I called with a leak. They said they would call next day they did not. I called day before hurricane Ian I was told they couldn’t help because the storm was coming. Hurricane Ian came and my leak tripled in size. Now I call Saturday after hurricane, the girl states they didn’t have it documented. She said they worked Friday and Saturday but the guys were taking off Sunday. She than said they would call me Monday. And of course they never did. I called Tuesday and once again I was told my call was not documented. But now I would be but would have to go in a waiting list. Mean while I hired a roof inspector who took pictures and showed me how Island roofing did not install the roof properly. And that there was a hole where they broke the tile to try to get it to fit. This is where leak is coming from and it should of never passed inspection in the first place. Nothing but Shotty work even in the beginning when they didn’t lay the underling correctly and I ended up with three more leaks that I never had before the roof was installed. Elaine C
I will always be thankful for the great work Island Roofing and their crews have done to replace my roof from the storm known as IRMA! They do an outstanding job of fixing the issues and dealing with the Insurance companies. They also do a great job to fix all the issues and damage done by the storm to make sure you and your home are made whole! I would have them do work for me and my family and friends and any one that ask me for a great reference for a roofing company and general contractor! Island Roofing is truly a first rate 5 star company both in work and in customer service and caring! Sincerely, Robert Koch II
After trying to get 10 roofing companies to inspect my mothers roof - ONLY ISLAND HAD THE DECENCY TO HELP. ALL THE OTHER COMPANIES WERE TO BUSY REPLACING WHOLE ROOFS FROM HURRICANE Irma and had no time to do anything else. Island Roofing inspected my own roof and found major damage from the hurricane that the insurance company refused to repair. After the run around again Island Roofing showed them the problems and they agreed to replace the entire roof. Without there help we would have been stuck with a roof that was not sound. I am extremely impressed with the professionalism everyone of their employees showed us and the quality of the work is excellent. We are so happy we found Island Roofing and their expertise and the fantastic job they have done. The new roof is ready for whatever mother nature has in store. The roof is better than when it was built in 2006. Thanks to all the folks that helped and Kevin for his outstanding job. The owners were extremely supportive even though they need to sue the insurance company to pay what they own. If you wish to speak to me about our experience with Island Roofing please contact them with any questions you have. I'm impressed with their integrity, honesty and their word to do what they said they would. Thanks to them we had a Totally stress free experience. GWB Naples, Fl
I have a Single Family Attached home that Island roofing replaced the tile roof on my neighbor’s side. Everything was good for a year or so. Then I noticed a mark on the ceiling, and confirmed there was a leak. The attic’s ceiling water trail was slimy, which indicated that it had been leaking for a while. I called a recommend roofing company, and they confirmed without a doubt that a screw was missing. Island roofing had to lift some of my tiles at the dividing wall in order to install the new roof. It cost me $1800 to have my roof repaired. I called island roofing a number of times for compensation, and got the run around until I said I was going to call the media. They promptly contacted me, tried to place doubted, and asked why I didn’t call them first. Hindsight is always great. At the time I didn’t know what the cause was, and time was of the essence to have a leak repaired with storm Ian on its way. I registered a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and they heard both sides, and eventually stated this issue was beyond their scope. Island roofing said by Florida Law, they have the right to try and fix a problem they may have created first before hiring someone else. I still don’t know if this is true, because neither party bothered to send me a copy of the law after I requested it. Not that they’re obligated to, but that would have been the thing to do. I tried looking for it, but I couldn’t find it. The next course of action would be the courts, but that would be costly. I’m also a snowbird, so doing this from Canada wouldn’t be feasible. I thought the least I could do is submit this review as a warning to others of Island Roofing’s business practices, and possible steps to avoid this happening to you. Good luck.
