We are based in Toronto, Canada and needed roofing repairs done on a property in Florida. From the first call, Mid Florida Roofing was professional and easy to work with. The owner, Bobby, provided a very reasonable quote and followed up by sending a clear, official, and fully itemized quotation directly to our property management company, including warranty details. The work was completed on time as promised. Throughout the repair, Bobby kept us updated with before-and-after photos, which gave us a lot of confidence since we were coordinating everything remotely. Under no circumstances should anyone use this company to replace a roof. We purchased our home after renting it for two years in 2021. The previous owner used Mid Florida to replace the roof on this house in 2016 and every roofer that has now walked it, which has been a handful, has said the quality of the roof was one of the worst that they've seen. Regular shingles were cut and used as cap shingles. The nail patterns for the shingles are sporadic at best, creating improper seals all throughout the roof. Numerous pop up nails have occurred and created small leaks all throughout the roof. Which have had to be repaired and bandaged since the roof was put on. As you can see in the photos no L flashing has been used in any of the valleys of the roof allowing water to run into the eaves and creating quite a bit of water damage over the last 8 years which isn't visible until its a major problem. Resulting in termite infestations and rotted wood all throughout the eaves of the house. We are now having to replace the whole roof out of pocket. I've worked in general and electrical contracting most of my life. So I've been in numerous attic spaces and have never seen a roof that was 8 years old have this many issues.
