We had a phenomenal experience with MVM Custom Homes!  Mike by far is the absolute best in the business. We have completed few projects with this company throughout the years and have nothing but kind words to say. Quality, craftsmanship, caring and pride in final product describe their mission. I recommend MVM Custom Homes and certainly would make them my #1 choice for any construction need in the future.

Our experience with MVM Custom Homes was great! The meticulousness to details amazed us. Our house is beautiful, the culmination of a lifetime of dreams. The entire process went very smoothly. At the end, everyone worked quickly and efficiently to bring the project to a close and allowed us to move in within our deadlines. The company was quick to respond to our questions throughout the build and made changes as we requested, even the smallest ones. They kept us involved, allowed us to watch the progress on site and informed us every step along the way. We did not encounter any problems. We would work with MVM Custom Homes again.

RUN!!! We wish we had the experience that others have described here but unfortunately for us, we have had nothing but problems. We had prepared a lengthy review document detailing all of this, but Google Reviews has a character limit that we would exceed several times over. A condensed version is below: Horrible Communication It is difficult to get answers or status updates. So many of our inquires for information have gone unanswered. Terrible Procurement For a custom home builder we would expect the capability to source almost anything. However, in practice you better hope that Lowe's carries what you want. Poor Quality There are many things throughout the home we would consider DIY quality (or worse). Paint color mismatch, wall/ceiling paint on trim and windows, tile floor not being flat, cracks and more cracks (ceiling, outside walls, flooring) At this time we could not recommended this builder to anyone. They have effectively turned our dream home into a nightmare.

We searched long and hard to find a good, trustworthy, quality builder. MVM met and exceeded those expectations. Our reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is only because of coordinating issues. This was our first "custom" built home and the # of details is staggering. Sometimes we were called and asked to make quick decisions though we had expected (and were told) we'd have advance opportunity to meet with a "sub" before decision time. Perhaps we misunderstood the process, but felt we could've used a little more guidance and prep-time along the way. THAT said, we love our home. We were in the area as the home progressed. We saw and participated in every stage. The MVM family were all kind and considerate and helpful. And the subs were all outstanding. Some small issues (some are to be expected) that showed up along the way were all handled thoroughly and professionally. Our home is solid, quiet, comfortable, and beautiful. Really satisfied with this builder and would highly recommend him to anyone. (BTW...I'm a former salesman for Arthur Rutenberg Homes, another quality builder and know about quality.)
