Porter Roofing Contractors

Can’t drive. Almost crashed into me after cutting me off on the interstate after almost missing his exit.

Porter did the roof at our building where I’m a tenant; the landlord paid extra for them not to interfere with the three, now four, businesses in the building. The job started in July, with no notice, with ungodly noise on the roof and metal shavings falling on the floor in my fitness studio where people are walking around barefoot. Then we noticed insulation was falling everywhere, on my retail, on my floor, and on my members. We gave them a code to get in to clean their mess during off hours, but they only used it once to check for a leak. We had several instances of leaks and one flood, which Porter always denied being the cause of, and upon inspection was always the culprit. I had to replace one sauna ceiling and floor due to a leak in the ceiling and replace several items due to the back room flooding. It took me months to recoup my money, and then the landlord had to make me whole and plans to take it out of their final payment. There’s been no communication from Porter on when they would be here, what they would be doing, etc. I have to block off appointments for members ahead of time because of the noise and disruption; I can’t run a business like this. Porter doesn’t have their stuff together; it doesn’t seem like the people in charge aren’t talking to the workers. The people on the ground tell us one thing, ask the powers that be to confirm and never hear back. They can’t move forward and leave us hanging and their workers. Do yourself a favor, pass on Porter Roofing and pass on these headaches!!!

I was sub contracted out to do a job in Cookeville, TN at the Engrafted Word Church. The long of the short is that we did the job and never got paid. They agreed to pay $16,900 for labor cost and said that they would throw in extra, because they had us come down when there was several rainy days that we couldn’t work. We never received a penny and will be forced to put a mechanic lien to recover our losses

I was seeking some advise about how to fix a roof leak. I know they are a commercial roofing company and would only be able to give me a couple of recommendations. It doesn’t provide any detail on employment benefits and the website in general is out of date, service is n out the best either! They take hours upon hours to reply back to an email let alone give you a call back or text message…
