I recently had the pleasure of working with Regosa Engineering, specifically Leo as my general contractor. I cannot recommend him highly enough! I’m from New York and I’ve found that the work ethic in Miami among contractors can vary dramatically, and I’ve faced some disappointing experiences in the past. However, Leo completely changed my perspective. From the start, Leo provided a clear and fair pricing estimate along with a realistic timeline, and he exceeded my expectations by completing the project ahead of schedule. His team approaches their work with the skill and artistry of true craftsmen, taking immense pride in every detail, which really shows in the final result. Throughout the planning stages, Leo was incredibly helpful and insightful. He brought up ideas and considerations that I had never thought of, demonstrating his genuine enthusiasm for bringing my vision to life. It truly felt like we were a team—he shared in my excitement and took as much pride in the project as I did. Overall, working with Leo was a wonderful experience. His professionalism, commitment, and passion for his work make him stand out in a sea of contractors. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking a talented and reliable general contractor. It was beyond a pleasure!

Luis Perez-johnson was our contractor. The relationship began very well and we were all excited to start our rehab on our first home purchase. That was six months ago. We decided to redo all of the bathrooms in our 2br/2.5ba in downtown Miami. We understood that permitting can be a real challenge. Luis had the contract for this job since June 2021 and no diligence was used to acquire our permits. It was not until almost October when our permits were all approved. We removed all of the flooring from our condo, after three months of no progress on removing the floor, we hired a third party company to come with trucks and remove the flooring over the course of three days. Two months after that completion (and we had paid a total of 90% of our near $80k contract), he attempted to charge us another $5k for the removal two months after we had the third party company remove it. We made the contractor aware that issuing double invoices was criminal and civil offense. He demanded that payment within 14 hours and threatened to cease work until paid. Keep in mind we had already paid this man $70k and the only action that had taken place in our home was the removal of the floor, no installations had taken place. Now it is December and every installation has brought down the value of our property. The walls have needed painted three times to fix imperfections, we have running paint marks going down the walls, we have chunks of the walls that were removed when the old baseboards came down. The painter proceeded to pain over those chunks. When brought to luis’ attention, he told me we didn’t pay to have it fixed. In what world do you rip off baseboards, destroy the walls and paint over it and pass it off as complete? It’s been time for inspections for a month. We couldn’t understand why we weren’t having our inspections scheduled or why the inspectors were “cancelling”, or at least that’s what luis claimed. At this point, I went to the city for answers. They informed me that no inspections were happening because the inspectors had been unable to reach luis to enter the unit to complete the inspections. I also found out that we had failed multiple rough inspections because they had not happened in the appropriate stages of the process for the inspectors to see electrical and plumbing inside walls and behind tile. It’s now been three weeks of inspections and I’ve taken control of it. The entire plaumbing in a primary bathroom that we paid a total of $30k (labor and materials) has to be removed to install the appropriate plumbing to pass city inspection. Incurring more costs for us. We had gorgeous kitchen island and countertop granite that we decided to keep due to its beauty. Now it needs to be replaced. Luis never had his workers cover it to keep its integrity throughout our renovation. Construction adhesives, solutions and materials have eaten though the finish and cuts and gashes cover the entire 14 foot island stone. When confronted, he bugged off the water marks (caused by his workers cleaning it with vinegar) and then told me the rest was there beforehand. We have this photo documented through the process and his unwillingness to make this repair caused us to fire him, it was the last straw. We had also paid for a doorway to be moved and an electric fireplace entertainment center to be built. We were very clear on the needs for it’s construction. At this time, it’s crumbling and falling apart due to the poor construction. They also dented the glass mount for the fireplace, causing it to need replaced. When confronted, he denied and said it was fine. Our homes value has decreased due to this contractor and has no accountability for the destruction, much less a willingness to make it right. In addition to his poor integrity, he’s rude. He’s yelled and tried to throw us out of our own home when confronted about the poor work. I’d advise anyone considering this company to look anywhere else for your needs. Now we are putting together the lawsuit for reparations.

The wife and I had the pleasure of working with this company. Mike was very efficient in answering all of our questions. We had our roof replaced trough Regosa and I'm happy to report that it was very efficient, well priced, and quality of service. Because we had such and amazing experience and tailored service by Mike, we are also moving forward with Hurricane impact windows. Thank you Regosa and Mike for making this complex investment/project as smooth as possible. I've recommended them already to a couple of people. My neighbors were impressed with how quickly my roof went up.

Dealt mostly with Chris and Carlos as the point of contacts. Was very pleased with their attentiveness to my concerns and their overall customer service. Very hard to find reliable contractors in South Florida, but I’ve finally found a company that is responsible, attentive and hard working. The project was completed on time and that was after they had to address an additional leak which I never knew about. Highly recommendable!

If there were 10 stars that is what they would get from me. Very professional staff. Mike was very upfront about everything and also available whenever we had any questions or concerns. They did the job quickly and efficiently. I recommend them 100%. You want honest, no nonsense and fast this the company to go to. My roof looks amazing and the process went smoothly.
