David Murphy and his team at Tartan Construction did an absolutely outstanding job on the construction of a new half bathroom inside my home. From start to finish, they were very straightforward, courteous and professional in every respect with very reasonable prices for their services. They also had no issues accommodating design changes after commencement of work. Despite the project running significantly longer than anticipated due to unforeseen challenges, not only did Tartan refuse to compromise on quality for the sake of expediency, but they absorbed the cost overruns without charging me any more than what was originally agreed upon. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who asks and would definitely use their services in the future!

I contacted Tartan Construction to install a porch swing on my new house front porch. They were on time, prepared, and extremely professional. They even located an error made by our home builder and corrected it. The best part was the supervisor showed me the issue, explained what was needed to correct, and proceeded to do it immediately. When they were done, I remarked to my wife that if you had not been there to see the process, you’d never have known they were there except to see the addition of the swing. Superior job by Tyler Belanger and his helpers, Emmanuel and Michelle. Should we need further contracting work, I know exactly who we will call.

We had two wood columns in the front of our home that needed to be replaced. I decided to call Tartan Construction and I’m glad I did. Dave gave me a good estimate and he and his crew were a pleasure to work with. They replaced the inferior materials that the builder used with the finest materials available and the new columns look great. We couldn’t be more pleased and recommend Tartan for your home construction needs.

I cannot say enough positive things about David Tartan and Tartan Construction. I have had many experiences with various contractors over the years, and few have them have been positive experiences. That a changed with Tartan Construction. I was connected to Tartan Construction after receiving a referral from my termite inspector on damage I had incurred from termites. Unbeknownst to David Tartan, I am an attorney with more than adequate expertise in building construction, which makes me a gigantic nuisance of a client. Within a few weeks of the start of my project it was apparent that the cost to repair would exceed the estimate provided initially. Additional damage was discovered after further exploration became required. David and his team quickly identified the problem and the solution though, and within a few weeks had a plan to address repair of the extenuating damages. After a couple of months from initial discovery of the extenuating damage on my property, Tartan completed all repairs, which was very timely all things considered. The service that I received from David and his staff was exceptional throughout. If I could complain about anything, I could be petty and complain about David not keeping me informed of costs increases as much as I would have like to been informed, but ultimately I had worried for no reason at all because the cost increases were completely in line with my expectations and industry standards. I am grateful to Tartan Construction and all their efforts to restore my home. Of all the many, many contractors I have used over the years, they are the only company I would wholeheartedly endorse.

Simply outstanding. We had a very difficult situation with termites that needed extensive repairs. David and Tartan came extremely well recommended and they lived up to every bit of it. From start to finish, the work was superb with the highest level of care and professionalism. Everything was documented very well and their communications with us were outstanding. We live overseas and David / Tartan went the extra distance to communicate with us throughout the process. There were some unexpected items in the repairs and Tartan was always on top of things. When the work was complete, I flew back to the States and went through every detail with David and Tartan to our complete satisfaction. There were some minor items that needed attention and they jumped all over the last items. Our goal was always to sell the house and David went the extra distance to work closely with our realtor and even meet with the buyers who are under contract for the house. The pricing was fair. I could have found someone who would have underbid the contract, but in the end the work, attention to detail and end result would not have been close to what we received.
