Reviews have become a regular part of our lives so that we may benefit from the experience of others. We gauge the business for price (of course), and of the overall experience one has with that establishment. In reading what real individuals say about a place we are considering, we make better choices for spending our hard-earned money. With that being said, I share the experience so that you may make a well-informed choice. After speaking to Jorge about the condition of my yard/patio after a job was performed for my neighbor's attached roof, I was confident that my concerns were genuinely being considered, and that they would be made right. He was very personable and assured me it would be taken care of. I would have given less than 3 stars, but because Jorge called me right away after I contacted him about the inordinate amount of debris that littered my back patio from the roof removal, I gave three stars (average work). It was explained away as "no one could contact me". A poor excuse when there is a RING doorbell that records anything that happens at my door, including a voice. And, like many, I carry a cellphone in which even away from home, I can be reached by voice or text. My neighbors have my number, and yet I received no communication. Arrangements were made for his team to follow up and take care of the debris that scarred my place of sanctuary. (by the way, I got back after a 72 hour work day to discover this destruction). Nails, and plastic tabs, bits and bits of roof tile, huge plastic label wraps on the tiles, and did I mention Nails? Yes, I believe I did. I mention them again because I am barefoot 90% of the time in my yard. I have also discovered them alongside my house - how they went over my entire roof is beyond me. The side and front driveway of my house was also littered with this roof debris - and most of it was so far from the neighbor's side, I'm flabbergasted that it ended up over here. As of yesterday (over a week later), there was still a big plastic wrap from the tiles caught on my solar panels. Not to mention the driveway median of grass is full of bits of roof tile and I'm still finding nails. I'm crossing my fingers I find them all to keep my toes/tires safe. The subsequent clean up job left a lot to be desired-let's just say I have witnessed the efforts of two kindergartners and they far exceed the lackluster approach to the clean up task I witnessed. I have since continued to collect more wrappers from the roof tiles, several pieces of roof tiles --still hanging from my plant, wedged on/in my A/C unit, all over my garden area, and patio. I have found nails and their plastic tabs, and slick cellophane rip tabs all over. A week later I continue to find all of those bits alongside of the house, along my doorway path, and the driveway itself. There is a conglomeration of roof tile pieces underneath the front planters on both sides of my neighbor's and my house. And this is "after" the team was called out for an opportunity to make things right. Suggestion: roofing is not a cleaning service. Since that is the case, invest not in a leaf blower to blow these pieces under the plants (I witnessed that on camera) --which by the way can cause soil contamination because of the material content/chemicals used to create them. Laying tarp down against foundation edges of a building will serve to protect plants, patio amenities, etc when ripping out a roof. And makes for easy clean up. I have been a first-hand witness to the effectiveness this has on a roofing project. Responsible roofing companies also use a high-powered magnet to sweep over the area to ensure owner's safety and the safety of those around the building to locate those pesky nails. There you have it. One facet of a company to consider.
Working with Weatherguard Quality Roofing on our custom build was great! They are quick and efficient, while providing quality products and service. We love our roof and would gladly work with Jorge and his team again!
I normally don’t write reviews, but I wanted to share my great experience. First I want to say how professional and polite all the workers were. They were very communicative and thorough with their work. I would also like to mention how well they managed the job and kept my landscaping protected. I would definitely recommend.
Very professional and quality job. We were in a hurry to get a new roof so we could put our house up for sale. The job was completed in a timely manner and with the new roof our house was under contract within 1 day!
The brothers Jorge and Hector Caro are upstanding business guys and so friendly. They did my office building’s roof and hit a home run. Fair and reasonable. Highly recommended
