We hired Cask Construction to build an ADU and they exceeded our expectations at every stage. From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, their attention to detail was remarkable. Nothing was rushed and nothing was overlooked. The craftsmanship speaks for itself, but it was the care behind every decision that really stood out. What set Cask apart was their transparency. We always knew where the project stood, what was happening next, and why. There were no surprise costs and no vague answers. Matteo communicated openly through every phase, which made a complex build feel manageable and genuinely low stress. Their relationship with the City of St. Petersburg was another highlight. Permitting and inspections can be the most frustrating part of any build, but Cask navigated the process smoothly and professionally. Their familiarity with local requirements and the team kept everything on track and saved us real headaches. We could not be happier with our ADU or with the team that built it. We had a great experience building an ADU with Cask. We absolutely loved working with Matteo, our project manager - he was our direct contact for everything related to the project, and he really made the whole process feel smooth and fun when we were expecting it to be stressful. Cask is a good company with good people - they went out of their way to help us make last minute changes to our plan, to accommodate our need for a fenced backyard during the project, and to finish it in time for our visitors. They stayed on schedule (construction took five months) and on budget and fixed all issues that came up. It was overall a feel-good experience, and we are very happy with the finished product. I used Cask to build a new garage and a 2 Bedroom apartment above it in January 2025. I had received a lower quote for the project from another contractor, but I decided on Cask based on a very thorough, detailed, and understandable quote from them. The Cask Team was far more organized and communicative than the other contractors. The construction process was very organized using Buldertrend software, with detailed dates for various stages of completion. If there was any slipage in dates for any reason, I was notified in advance so I could plan accordingly. Their on-site superintendent (Doug) kept the subcontractors to task and alwiays kept me informed of construction progress, city permit requirements, and even when the trash picks were scheduled! They have been honest with me even when they shared bad news, making every resolution to the issues understandable and resolvable. I put my money where my mouth is and have initated a second project with them starting this year (2026). As I have managed many major home construction projects, I can honestly say that this team is a construction project "dream team".

I contracted with Cask Construction for my ADU build in St Petersburg Florida. I can't say enough about the process in the build. I was wanting a small studio with a big garage for my cars. Cask, understood my needs and expanded on them with their experience in the field. They made good suggestions when I came up with different ideas for the build. Suggestions as, where to spend the money in one area and pass in other areas. Saving, time and money. As usual in St Pete, I was prepared to wait on the permits as they do take awhile. But once the permit was issued, the build went very quick. The scheduling and consistency of workers in the backyard was great. During the build I did come up with changes in interior finishings and there was no problem making the changes. I do travel every month, and would arrive home to find completion of the next phase of work. Matteo, was the project manager and kept me in the loop at all times. I highly recommend him. He saw my vision from the first meeting. Matteo kept me informed at all times on progress. Of course we had items come up that did not work as planned, either due to my ideas, or building code that needed to be in compliance. Matteo always came up with the best option. Also, the other workers that came by everyday to clean up or fix a small problem were awesome. After each Sub would finish, their work was cleaned up and ready for the next phase. I did notice they were very meticulous in making the final finishings look great! Anything, I brought up was attended to right away. Even the small things. I felt very comfortable telling the team anything that needed touched up, changed, or fixed. Overall, great job. I did know going in, I would pay a little more for the build, but what I received in time frame of the build, quality of work and communication on the project was worth it. Although I am in the exploration phase of determining if an ADU will be the right choice for an aging parent, CASK has been an outstanding company to work with thus far. From the initial on site visit with Jessica, followed by a tour of an actual build, they have been able to address any potential concerns head on (flood zone, set backs etc.). In addition, they have been thorough at laying out a logistical order of events that would take place from start to finish and what a customer might expect as far as timelines and costs.
